Ethos

The Sisters of Mercy established Our Lady of Mercy Secondary School in 1968. They built the existing Secondary School in 1977. The present enrolment is approximately 620.

Inspired by the beliefs of our founder, Mother Catherine McAuley, members of the Mercy school community are committed to creating an environment in which all students are respected for their unique personality and gifts and encouraged to attain the highest standards of academic achievement. Individual talents are fostered in an atmosphere of educational excellence.

As a Christian educators, the staff of the Mercy Secondary School are motivated by care and concern for all their students, as they are prepared to take their place in society as responsible citizens. Every effort is made to make this a school which provides a top class education and cherishes all the members of our learning community.
